Casa Lorette

My wife and I travelled trough mexico for 2 months, and after some weeks we wanted to find something calm and relaxing away from city traffic and busy markets. Alis ranch was THE PERFECT PLACE for that. so first of all, Ali was an incredible host and after just three days with him we would call him our friend. he was very considerate, and friendly. his family and himself also have an incredibly interesting history with this ranch which we loved to listen to. we talked to him a lot, but he always respected our personal space aswell. the ranch is in the middle of nowhere, which was exactly what we were looking for. there is a delicious restaurant nearby, and in the town there are little stores if you want to cook in Alis kitchen. The surrounding of the house was absolutely breathtaking. there are waterfall stairs and a nature pool which makes you think if you bath there you will be ten years younger xD you can reach the town by bus and Ali will pick you up, or you can rent a car in san luis or ciudad valles to reach the place. we would recommend the casa lorette for everyone who wants to leave mainstream tourism, wants to live on a epic ranch for some time, or to someone who just wants to calm down and relax. we would give 6 stars if possible and we will totally come back if we ever travel trough mexico again!

We stayed in Ali's riverside cabana for 3 nights in early November. It is indeed off the beaten path surrounded by mother nature at her best. As such we woke each morning to the birds singing and roosters crowing, and then to the sound of kitchen staff arriving to prepare us the most delicious breakfast each day. We also had the pleasure of sampling, and rating, their candidate dishes for a restaurant they will soon be opening to serve not only to their guests but to other travelers in the area. This food was unlike anything we have ever had the pleasure of eating anywhere. So foodies, get in line! Service was wonderful. As mentioned by others Ali is interested in his guests' experiences, but not intrusive. We got as little or as much conversation as we desired. Waterfalls, hiking, kayaking, rappeling, river walks. For nature lovers you cannot go wrong at Casa Lorette. 5 stars.

We stayed at a jaw-droppingly beautiful property on this working sugar farm—totally off the beaten path but still very easily accessible and near tourist hotspots if that’s your thing. The cabin is thoughtfully designed, with incredibly comfortable beds and all the amenities you need, while being completely immersed in some of the most breathtaking nature in the world. It’s like an Eden here. Turquoise river swimming holes and a waterfall are practically at your doorstep. The riverside bar and restaurant serves a spectacular menu with truly delicious food, and every staff member on the property offers exceptional service. Ali is an unforgettable host—warm, passionate, and deeply knowledgeable about the land. He takes his time showing you around to ensure you get the most out of your stay. This is Mother Nature in all her glory. If you’re lucky enough to find yourself near Casa Lorette, don’t hesitate. It’s pure magic.

La cascada es impresionante, un verdadero espectáculo natural que le da un toque único a la experiencia. • El Servicio: La atención es impecable. Ali, nuestro anfitrión, fue extraordinariamente amable y atento en todo momento. • El Toque Especial: Lo que más nos cautivó fue que Ali nos compartió la historia del lugar. Es fascinante y sorprendente la cantidad de archivo histórico que conservan; le da un valor cultural y sentimental muy profundo a la visita. Sin duda, es un lugar al que planeamos volver. ¡Totalmente recomendado si buscas paz, belleza natural y un trato humano de primer nivel en San Luis Potosí!

Beautiful cabin, restaurant, project and vision! We stayed for two nights for a weekend away from the city. The eco-cabin is gorgeous and comfortable. Hiking on the property, swimming, nearby tourist sites, delicious meals at the restaurant - the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of la huasteca.

Had a great time visiting here. Excellent host! The food was delicious and the views were spectacular! Highly recommend.

Definitely one of the highlights of my most recent trip in Mexico. Remote yet easily accessible, this gem of a hotel is situated on a working sugar cane ranch. It’s more of a bungalow than a hotel, really, but with all the modern comforts and amenities you’d expect from a quality hotel. It features an excellent restaurant specializing in local cuisine, and just about everything is farm-to-table. The property itself is idyllic: a turquoise-clear stream runs right in front of the bungalow and restaurant, and the place is surrounded by fragrant wild orange trees. If you are looking for a quiet place off the beaten path, close to the popular attractions and yet seemingly devoid of tourists, Casa Lorette is your kind of place. Highest recommendation.

I stayed at this place for just 3 days as i didn't have more time unfortunately. It was THE best experience on my road trip thru Mexico so far. The nature around this place is just amazing and you can enjoy all of it without a lot of tourists. In many places we were the only ones there and we just had a great time time. There are quite a few places to visit around and thats why i couldn't see everything. But this also gives me another reason to come back. Ali is a great host, who is going the extra mile to make sure, that you are having a great time. Ah i almost forgot.....the food at this place was super yummy as well. Can't wait to come aback and i can surely recommend this place to any nature lover out there who is also sick of visiting super touristy places. If you want nature pure, you found your place to be and don't have to look any further :o)
